Short answer
Aylmer is the municipal sector corresponding to the former city, while Vieux-Aylmer is its smaller historic core. Gatineau’s Vieux-Aylmer plan describes an area centred on rue Principale and chemin d’Aylmer, between parc des Cèdres and parc Paul-Pelletier.
